Testing the grounding on a mat, requires a multimeter.
(1) Set the multimeter to “DC”
(2) Use the “Black” or Ground strap on the multimeter and attach to the black side of the mat (conductive side)
(3) Use the “Red” positive strap on a multimeter, and place on the Red side of the mat.
The multimeter should read +6.7 volt to +6.9 Volt, This confirms the Grounded side is functional
This method also applies to checking straps, and the other (non light mat) accessories
Unfortunately you cannot test Ground (or earth) without a Multimeter. Cheap multimeters under $10 can be bought on Amazon
