The Machines cannot give out more than 16v. However if the persons wall socket (and house in general) is not (earthed) grounded in some circumstances they can feel static electricity, very low voltage, but definitely an uncomfortable zap (similar to those carpet Zaps you give people by accident) A second cause of static zaps is when the unit is plugged into the same circuit on a wall with a device like a portable heater. Large capacity appliances can draw larger amount of power to the localized circuit, and cause static in other devices, especially if the power socket does not have a good “earth” (Ground)
