Question:
So the other day a strange thing happened. I used the V3 and put it on the cold/flu setting bc I was sick. Afterwards, I got a lot of bumps that I thought were spider bites on mostly my upper body. I had it on the v17 setting bc that seems to be the default as per the manual. I probably used it a total of 30-45 minutes. I’ve been freaking out bc the bumps are similar to scabies but don’t seem to actually spread, though I am still getting new ones. This started about 4 days ago. I’m wondering if you’ve ever heard of such a detoxification effect. Do you think this could be a result of zapping or do you think there has to be another explanation?
Answer:
It is quite common for a respiratory illness, such as a cold or the flu, to trigger a skin reaction known as a viral exanthem, whether there is the use of a Zapper V3, or not….. This happens because the immune system, while busy fighting off the primary virus, can cause inflammatory responses that manifest as bumps or patches on the skin, most frequently on the trunk and upper body. One of the most likely candidates for a rash that appears following a cold and persists for several weeks is a condition called Pityriasis Rosea. This typically begins with a “herald patch”—a single, larger scaly spot—followed by a breakout of smaller, itchy bumps across the chest and back. What makes this condition particularly relevant to your situation is its duration; it often lasts between six and ten weeks, which aligns perfectly with the timeframe you are experiencing. While the exact cause is debated, it is widely believed to be a “reactivation” of certain viral strains triggered by the stress of an initial cold or flu.
The fact that these bumps are concentrated on your upper body is a common characteristic of these types of “gut-skin axis” reactions. When the internal environment is stressed by a virus or a bacterial overgrowth like E. faecalis, the body often uses the skin as a secondary elimination or inflammatory pathway. The bumps are likely a sign that your system is still in a state of high inflammatory alert. Consider Lactoferrin and exploring ways to restore your stomach’s natural acid barrier can be very helpful in signaling to your body that the “threat” is being managed, which usually leads to the skin clearing up.
