Lastly, if you have your Multimeter set to a 3 digit continuity test, it will give you a cable condition result. Even if a continuity “beep” is confirmed, a reading of (example) 933, instead of 000 may indicate the inner cable although connected is fraying, and in poor condition, or perhaps internal copper wire corrosion.
