Question: I notice there are two Cirrhosis frequency groups – Cirrhosis: 0.08, 0.55, 0.57, 7.50, 8.00, 12.69, 140.00, 363.02, 492.53, 912.48, Cirrhosis, Liver: 0.11, 0.55, 0.95, 5.50, 17.50, 37.50, 162.50, 383.50, 421.00, 645.25, What is the difference and how to know which one to use for a chronic case of Liver Cirrhosis? Or do we use both? PS The person I wish to treat has Biliary Cirrhosis, so how would you suggest the treatment to be? Answer: Use “Cirrhosis, Liver” set for the primary liver dysfunction and chronic liver disease; this would include: Primary biliary cirrhosis, Laennec’s cirrhosis, Xanthomatous biliary cirrhosis Cirrhosis, Liver: 0.11, 0.55, 0.95, 5.50, 17.50, 37.50, 162.50, 383.50, 421.00, 645.25, The “Cirrhosis, Liver” set is a newer addition post 2011 and as mentioned is liver specific. Cirrhosis: 0.08, 0.55, 0.57, 7.50, 8.00, 12.69, 140.00, 363.02, 492.53, 912.48, I will make a note to have “Cirrhosis” changed to “Cirrhosis (general)”, or “Cirrhosis (general), Familia”. for later ETDFL editions. This might not happen though. In the case of the client you mention here “Cirrhosis, Liver” set is correct for “Primary biliary cirrhosis”
