Question:

I broke my power adapter for my Rife Digital Professional 2016. I purchased a universal adapter and that seems to work but the green light doesn't come up during sweep or sweep pulse. Does that mean I broke my machine?

Answer:

If the power adapter is not an exact match for the original adapter it can cause the Green light to not work or excessive power can cause the Green LED (bulb) to blow. a non functioning Green LED doesn't necessarily mean that the machine is not functioning, because the MENU display will also show also if there is output.. The green light is only an indicator and the indicator light itself can blow out without affecting the rest of the machine.

Use a multimeter to test the voltage on the RED and Black wires. turn on the Rife Digital Professional machine, press RUN or Sweep. Test voltage: The voltage should show between 7-9.5v volts (I allow a wider range of voltage here as the clients adapter is aftermarket) If a read out between 7-9.5v volts is achieved then the machine is functioning properly so this would indicate that the Green LED bulb has blown, but the machine itself is functioning correctly.

The accessories we sell are specific to these machines, the power supply is medically approved. We do suggest you use the accessories made for the machine. We keep the cost of these as close to cost as possible to make it as easy as possible to replace when needed. You can see all of the accessories HERE
