Pleomorphic adenoma tumors typically arise in the salivary glands, with the most common location being the parotid gland, which is the largest of the salivary glands and located in front of and just below each ear. However, pleomorphic adenomas can also occur in the submandibular gland (located under the jaw) and the minor salivary glands, which are found throughout the lining of the mouth and throat.
