Question:

I know I have a 17v machine, but that’s not what I see when I test the voltage with my Multimeter. Any thoughts? I used to feel it when I put my tongue to the lead, I still do but not as much.

Answer:

Lower frequencies tend to have a punchier buzz than the high frequencies. That may be why it feels different to you. If in doubt, change the leads (cables) for your device. If there is any question of output efficiency, then one must look at the leads (button cable wires) and replace if necessary.  If the Multimeter measurement is 7-8v then this is the correct output Only an Oscilloscope can measure the true output around (14-15.5v), as multimeters cannot detect correct voltage when there is a frequency wave generated, however an oscilloscope can.
