Question: I am a new bee keeper. As you might know, bee keepers are having a hard time with a varroa destructor mite in our hives.I would like to figure a way to destroy them with your zapper. Is there a frequency that kills them? R. L. Answer: This is what the manufacturer had to say: If a Mat could be used on the base of the Hive it could work with the mite set. The mat will work with either the Zapper Professional or the Zapper Ultra. Mite Infestations: 0.05, 6.24, 30.78, 129.97, 321.53, 565.68, 615.22, 705.68, 892.50, 952.17 Usually the base is where the bees walk into the hive so I am not sure how this rubber surface would work. It is worth a try, and if successful would solve a mega $ million dollar problem in US, and now most of the world – only may work with mat, no other method (straps etc)
