Question:

I am asking about a frequency set for hot flashes.

I see a “hot flushes” set of frequencies, but I’m not sure if that is the same thing.

Answer:

Hot flushes or “hot flashes” are described as a sudden feeling of heat or warmth often accompanied by profuse sweating. It may also present itself as: Increased heart rate. Red or flushed face. Heat affects the whole body. Hot flushes can continue for up to 30 minutes or more at a time or may be as short as just a few seconds.

The terminology is the same.  Hot flushes are “hot flashes”.  Hot Flashes is used mostly in US,  and  Hot flushes is generally used in UK

Hot Flushes [Heat Disorders, Heat Stroke]: 0.08, 0.13, 0.35, 7.5, 85, 193.93, 237.5, 487.5, 706.21, 946.5

Hot flashes can happen at any age, for reasons that have absolutely nothing to do with your menstrual cycle.

Hormones are the main reason. The decline in estrogen during menopause causes hot flashes so it makes sense that any other hormonal condition can also bring them on.

What’s happening during a hot flash is that the body needs to cool down, and fast. As blood vessels start dilating, blood flow to the skin’s surface is supercharged in order for the body to release excess heat.

Common causes of Hot Flashes:
1. Stress And Anxiety
2. Hyperthyroidism
3. Food Sensitivities

5. Primary Ovarian Insufficiency
6. Alcohol
7. Medications
9. Excess Weight
