DNA methylation is a crucial epigenetic modification of the genome that is involved in regulating many cellular processes. These include embryonic development, transcription, chromatin structure, X chromosome inactivation, genomic imprinting and chromosome stability. Consistent with these important roles, a growing number of human diseases have been found to be associated with aberrant DNA methylation. The study of these diseases has provided new and fundamental insights into the roles that DNA methylation and other epigenetic modifications have in development and normal cellular homeostasis. DNA methylation is therefore not a disease, but is a process of cellular methylation directly related to cell development and DNA alteration causing disease. DNA methylation is “the DNA altering process” which occurs during the development of disease. For example: Exposure to Radioactive materials, like Radium will cause cancer to develop. This is a fact, and happened to the first unfortunate scientist Marie Curie studying this metal element.. DNA Methylation occurs during radiation exposure, causing DNA (Cell) modifications which result in the cancer. The DNA Methylation is simply the process of the alteration of the cells, rather than the actual disease (cancer), or the cause of the disease (radium). Bioresonance targets disease and attempts to remedy and eliminate disease, and the “cause” of disease.
