Question: My Oscilloscope does not show a square wave on the higher frequencies, why? Answer: Some oscilloscopes show a “rounded rectangle” on the higher frequencies, such as my cheaper pocket oscilloscope I own, the one Microcad uses show a fairly square wave on all frequencies and they usually make an adjustment where you can zoom and the wave shape looked square up to 999.99. It does go a little rectangular at the top end, but it is still basically a square wave output. The Pocket Oscilliscope I bought cost around $300 but doesn’t match the results of the Microcad desktop model which is a top of the range Fluke Oscilloscope worth thousands. The Fluke also had all these different tuning functions which showed a true picture at all frequency output stages.
